Flow visualization (streamline) is missing in Vapor3

Hello I am using VAPOR3 to visualized WRF output.

VDC and data files are made using "wrfvdccreate" and "wrf2vdc" as below

> wrfvdccreate wrfout_d01_2016-07-05_06:00:00 test.vdc

> wrf2vdc wrfout_d01_2016-07-05_06:00:00 test.vdc

All is working fine, but flow visualization (streamline) does not appear in the renderer menu. Barb, contour, isosurface etc are all fine, but NO flow (attached figure)

Is it no longer supported, or my data handling misses something?

This is my Renderer menu

(I am using macOS 10.14)

Hi. I am a new user of Vapor. I installed VAPOR 3 following the instruction in the website. I tried opening vapor but there were errors that popped out. Unable to load library icui18n "Cannot load library icui18n: (icui18n: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)" And the GUI shows, InitializeGL failure OpenGL version "3.1 Mesa 18.2.2" is too low and is not supported Please help? Thank you so much.

Hi,

I followed the instructions on the website to download and install VAPOR3 on my Linux system CentOS 7. https://www.vapor.ucar.edu/docs/installation

Then under the directory ..../VAPOR3/VAPOR3-3.0.0-Linux/bin, I typed "./vapor" to try to start the GUI of VAPOR3, but an error message was given in the terminal:
vapor: error while loading shared libraries: liblzma.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Hi, Does VAPOR support cylindrical visualizations? I know for flow lines boundaries can be made periodic, but is there anyway to actually see a cylinder instead of a slab? -Nick

Hi all,

I am new to Vapor (Version: 2.6.0) and I have run into a problem. 
I am trying to transform a netcdf file which contains several variables on 
a vertically stretched staggered grid to a vdf input file. My commands are:

ncdfvdfcreate -vars thl:buoy:sv:u:v:w -xcoordvar xt -ycoordvar yt -zcoordvar zt -gridtype
stretched -timedims time -timevars time concatenated1.007.nc test.vdf

ncdf2vdf -vars thl:buoy:sv:u:v:w -stagdims xm:ym:zm -timedims time -timevars time
concatenated1.007.nc test.vdf

If I leave the -vars out it for some reason only includes variable u.

Animation keyframe not reading view direction, up vector

When I try to make an animation of my dataset, the keyframes don't seem to be working correctly. First, I hit 'Set Current Key' once I have the camera position where I desire. Then I 'Enable Keyframing" to double check that keyframe is correct, however, it isn't. When I check the view window the camera position and center remains the same, however the view direction and up vector changes to seemingly random, slightly wrong values. This either be a slight adjustment or a significant change to where I desired the camera. Am I missing something obvious? I am running on windows 10.

Hello, I am installing VAPOR on a brand new box Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (32 gb ram) and I am unable to install from source the following dependencies - libgeotiff and ftgl. I am using the same version you have described in the documentation-https://www.vapor.ucar.edu/internal/downloads/source-distributions Can you guide me on how I could go about fixing the install errors so that I can use VAPOR ? Hello

I am using ncdfvdfcreate instead of romsvdfcreate to create a vdf and populate a vdc because I do not have a grid file for the ROMS netcdf files that I am using.

To create a vdf I am using:

# create the vdf file using ncdfvdfcreate
# specify both the variables and the dimensions of those variables
