Please also note that at the bottom of that page is short description of how to use Conda for package management (and how Conda environments interact with the JupyterHub). This is really the first acknowledgement from CISL sysadmins that using Conda is an accepted and supported practice. ...Of course, if you submit a ticket about a Conda issue to CISLHelp, it will probably be forwarded to me, but that's neither here nor there. :smile:
