Could someone please help install proplot on the CMIP5.2019a virtualenv for the Casper DAV jupyterhub? @Anderson Banihirwe @Matt Long .
@Aneesh subramanian
Unfortunately, I don't have administrative privileges to modify the CMIP6.201910a
, but I can modify its sister environment CMIP6.201910
.
proplot
is now available in the CMIP6-201910
environment:
$ conda list proplot # packages in environment at /ncar/usr/jupyterhub/envs/cmip6-201910: # # Name Version Build Channel proplot 0.6.4 py_0 conda-forge
I highly recommend that you look into installing miniconda
in your workspace and creating & managing your own environment...

Thanks very much @Anderson Banihirwe . It works on my end as well. Will plan on using CMIP6.201910 env for now. This is for a class I'm teaching and hence I would like all students to use the common env available.

I do have my own virtual environment installed for my work but I thought I'll have the students in my class use the CMIP6 env available. May be next time I'll install a virtual env just for the class. Thanks for the suggestion!
