Welcome to #jupyter.

Excellent idea, @Anderson Banihirwe!

Is it just me or is https://jupyterhub.ucar.edu/dav down for everyone?

view this post on Zulip Anderson Banihirwe (Feb 25 2020 at 17:06):

I know that Cheyenne is down for maintenance, but is Casper also down?

view this post on Zulip Kevin Paul (Feb 25 2020 at 17:06):

Casper is up, as far as I know.

I'm also getting "Unable to connect" from the hub, but Casper is definitely up

I'm logged in to two terminals (one from yesterday, and a fresh one just now)

I wonder if the hub is hosted on a cheyenne node and went down as collateral damage? I'd submit a ticket to cisl-help and see what they say (and maybe ssh-tunnel for j-lab in the meantime?)

view this post on Zulip Anderson Banihirwe (Feb 25 2020 at 17:08):

Thank you for the prompt reply! Yeah, ssh-tunnel is probably the solution for the rest of the week

Just realized that I should have posted this in a #jupyterhub topic -:)

I am noticing that if you go to https://jupyterhub.ucar.edu/, you get a response. In the future, it would be nice to have some kind of status updates on this page to let the users know that the Hub is up or down for whatever reason.
