@all, I am thinking we'll skip a kick-off call today. Please consider posting updates on your hack projects.

I have been rethinking the nature of these events and welcome suggestions for how to make them more effective. As a transition step, I hope to solicit some help from the @geocat and @xdev teams to provide some mini-tutorials over the next several weeks. Feel free to add your suggestions and comments to this thread.

We would like to gauge interest in a mini-tutorial, presented by @Kevin Paul and @xdev. The topics this Friday would be:

  1. What is a Python module and how can you make one?
  2. What are unit tests and how can I add tests for my new module?
  3. How can I add my module to the hackutils package and share it with the community?

@all: I'm sorry to have to bail on everyone, but this has been an unusually hectic week for me. I do not see how I can throw together a mini-tutorial for you all by tomorrow with all of my existing commitments. I feel confident that I and @xdev can put something together for you all for the half-day hack session on June 19 (two weeks from tomorrow).

Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
