@xdev, do we need to get JupyterHub updated to enable these diagnostics? They appear to be very useful.

Probably. @Anderson Banihirwe can probably answer in more detail. Jared is planning on a new release during the October shutdown.

It's worth noting that some people are not using JupyterHub because it lacks these new features. (A familiar story.)
