This conversation sparked a lot of work around optimizing GroupBy operations in xarray funded by ESDS and a NASA ACCESS grant (thanks @Jean-Francois Lamarque , @Joe Hamman ). I think I have a decent solution to "time grouping" problems particularly resampling and climatology calculations.

Hi Deepak. This is exciting stuff, and is closely related to some functions in GeoCAT-comp. I'd love to attend, but I unfortunately have a time conflict then. Do you know if the talk will be recorded?

Thanks Heather, Yes it will be recorded. I also forgot to mention that it's only 15 minutes.
