This research is being developed by a diverse team of scientists and engineers in the Hydrometeorological Applications Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in close collaboration with multiple management agencies and Universities across the Nation and around the world. Our overarching goal is to advance our understanding of the land surface and atmospheric processes to serve a range of hydrometeorological applications for the benefit of society.
hydrologic modeling applications: stream forecasting, climate change
climate downscaling, hydrologic processes, and alpine snowpack
observations, uncertainty, land-surface and mesoscale modeling
large scale hydrologic modeling: applications, climate impacts
hydroclimatic changes and their implications for water resources
large scale hydrologic modeling of present and future climate
Statistical hydrology, extremes, and flooding
