Hi, I'am dongmin Jang in KISTI. I think that VAPOR is the great software for visualization, and I have used VAPOR to visualize WRF result on windows system. I converted from WRF out to vdf file on a linux system because the converting was impossible on a windows system due to the big output. The vdf file and data folder on the linux was moved to my windows pc for using VAPOR gui. I tried to load vdf file on the windows system several times, but, I have problem about code : 2004 no data found in VDC. How do I solve this problem? And, I can not use VAPOR gui on the linux system ?
Hi Dongmin,
Would you please send me your vdf file, and a file listing of the directory "FILE_data" where "FILE.vdf" is the name of your vdf file on your Windows system. FILE.vdf needs to be in the directory that contains FILE_data .
Also, you can only use VAPOR gui on the linux system if it has a reasonably good graphics card. If you run "glxinfo" on your linux system and send us the results, we may be able to tell if you can run VAPOR there.
