dear Vapor users -
Can someone point me in the right direction for setting up a script to automatically create 3D images of WRF datasets? I'm looking for 3D eye-candy, fixed point-of-view images of air masses which you can only infer from a weather map (if you know how to read them) - such as the frost event or Large Eddy Simulations or even the Sandy air parcel trajectories (https://www.vapor.ucar.edu/gallery/hurricane-sandy/hi-res ) in the movie gallery on the vapor.ucar.edu site. Thank you very much. Patricia
Patricia,
I'm sorry, but Vapor does not (yet) support scripting. The only way to produce animations is to set up a visualization in the gui, to capture the successive frames as jpegs, and then to convert the images to a movie file. There's an example of this in the Katrina tutorial at http://www.vapor.ucar.edu/tutorials/hurricane-katrina-tutorial .
