representing 3d mean field
Hello, I am importing a 3D meanfield from matlab vdfcreate.exe -dimension 128x128x128 -level 3 -vars3d vx:vy:vz testb.vdf raw2vdf.exe -ts 0 -varname vx -level 3 testb.vdf mvx.txtb raw2vdf.exe -ts 0 -varname vy -level 3 testb.vdf mvy.txtb raw2vdf.exe -ts 0 -varname vz -level 3 testb.vdf mvz.txtb This seems to import the files (all though the reverse transform only gives half of the file...) The velocity values as given by the transfer function bar are way off and meanfield doesn't seem to correspond at all with what i get when looking at the analogous 2D cuts in matlab. Everything seems to be small round dots that don't present any of the coherent structure forms inherent in the topology of the flow. Thanks for your help if you see what the problem in visualization might be. Peter I can provide the 3D matrix if a test may be run... it isn't very large
