A summer heavy rain event (locally about 250 mm/day) over South Korea from the GRIMs high resolution model simulation is analyzed. 3D structure of moisture flux amplitude (blue) is displayed together with 2D pattern of precipitation rate (yellow to red) during 5 days. Vertical motion (w) is also diplayed (purple). he heavy rain occurs due to strong moisture transport from the south with the development of synoptic low pressure system.
