VAPOR provides for control of box extents in the Region, 2D, Image, Flow, Barbs, Contours, and Probe tabs. The control uses both sliders and text boxes for both the center and the size of the box. The extents can be modified by moving the slider, or by typing in a numerical value and then pressing <enter>. If multiple values are to be set, it is easiest to type in all the desired values, and finally pressing <enter> in one of the text boxes after all the values are specified. Box sliders also support "nudging". To nudge a slider, click on the slider bar to the left or right of the handle. The slider will move a distance that corresponds to the size of a voxel at the current refinement level.
The Probe box and the 3D Contours box (unlike the other boxes) can be rotated to an arbitrary orientation. Control of the Probe rotation is described in the Probe panel description.
