Barb alignment

Barbs can be positioned on the horizontal data grid by checking "Align to XY grid".  In that case the user may not specify the X and Y dimensions, but instead sets the X-stride and Y-stride.  The stride is the distance between glyphs in data grid units.  The X- and Y-dimensions will then be equal to the number of data grid units that fit within the rake, starting at the minimum X and Y data grid positions within the rake.

Barbs can also be vertically aligned to the terrain. If there is a 2-dimensional variable in the VDC indicating terrain height above sea level, one can check the checkbox "Offset vertical position by terrain height" and indicate the height variable, and the z coordinate of each barb will be increased by the value of the height variable at that point.
