Reading and writing seed points and flow lines

The seed points used in the flow tab can be read from or written to a file.  In the Flow Seeding settings, click the button "Load Seeds" or the button "Save Seeds" to read or write flow seeds.  When loading seeds, the points in the seed file will be read as the current seed list.  When saving seeds, the current rake or seed list will be written to file.

A seed point file consists of one line of 4 values for each point along the flow line.  The (x,y,z) coordinates are the first 3 values, and the fourth is the time step.  A time step of "-1" indicates that the seed will be used at all time steps.

Flow lines can be written to file as a set of points along the flow line.  There is a "Save flow" button in the Basic Flow Settings in the Flow Tab.  The Capture menu (at the top of the VAPOR window) can capture the flow lines that are generated over time.  Both of these options are described in the section "Capturing images and flow lines".
