Description
Aspen uses a collection of thermodynamic algorithms that were developed for the NCAR Portable Automated Mesonet II. These were originally documented in this incomplete reference:
"Formulation of Output Parameters for PAM II CMF Data compiled by Paul Herzegh (18 March 1988 revision)"
Unfortunately, this document has been lost to time. However, an earlier printed version is available: Generation of PAM II Derived Parameters. The Aspen source code matches these formulations. This document also provides references to the original sources of the calculations.
